Shrewsbury in Infrared

This project began in 2020. At the time of the first Covid 19 Lockdown, all my commercial photography work was cancelled and I was left kicking my heels in Shrewsbury. I’d been thinking of having a camera converted to Infrared for ages, I had an old Canon 550D lying around gathering dust and so I took the plunge.

Infrared photography is a revelation, you can compose in camera, but you really have no idea what the finished picture will look like until you start processing. I use photoshop to get the faux colour you see in these pictures.

The project is an ongoing piece of work, but individual images can be bought in a variety of formats, digital download or high quality prints in my online store in the gallery – Infrared
