DxO ViewPoint 4

Review is as yet unwritten. My opinion, based on my own experience is that DxO ViewPoint is superior to anything in the Adobe catalogue at this time.
Where Does DxO Fit In My Workflow?
If you are new to photography then DxO is a great place to start. I am featuring PhotoLab 7 in my forthcoming course – Introduction to Landscape Photography and have a comprehensive series of tutorials in the editing stage, ready for YouTube in a couple of weeks.
If you are already using Adobe Lightroom and/or Photoshop then DxO brings superior RAW processing and better noise reduction to the table via PureRAW. To my mind, PureRAW is an essential part of an Adobe workflow as it addresses areas where I have found Adobe to be frustratingly weak..
If you are a Lightroom catalogue user then the integration with PhotoLab is very polished, you can roundtrip the processing seamlessly, exporting the image to PhotoLab and saving it back to Lightroom after processing in a couple of clicks. This is often the way that I work.
The Nik Collection is very powerful and also integrated with Lightroom and Photoshop. I often use Color Efex Pro to add the final layer of polish to my images. Silver Efex has been my go to Black and White conversion software for a decade now.
The standalone programs, FilmPack and ViewPoint also function as plugins for Lightroom and Photoshop.
FilmPack brings Luminosity masks to the table in addition to the existing film emulations, sharing that function to PhotoLab.
ViewPoint is an essential for architectural photography.
If you haven’t dipped your toe in the DxO catalogue, now is a great time to try the software out. The Nik Collection has been completely revised this year and there have been substantial upgrades and additional functionality built into PhotoLab 7.
